What Do You Call A Sale Of All Your Junk?
Where I grew up, we called it a garage sale or a yard sale. But it’s called something else in the one-line description of “People,” the new play by Alan Bennett, the author of “The History Boys” and, my favorite, “A Question of Attribution.” We are told that the work “revolves around a woman who decides to hold an attic sale.” Have you ever heard a junk-fest called by that name that anywhere in these United States?
