Helen Gurley Brown Dies At 90

Helen Gurley Brown has died at the age of 90. She built Cosmo into one of, if not the, best-selling magazines in the world. She came to fame in the early 1960s, with her book “Sex and the Single Girl.” It was turned into a 1964 movie starring Natalie Wood and Tony Curtis. Notice the flounces that Curtis wears in the above video, and you’ll get an idea of how silly the movie is. It was still the era of Rock-and-Doris sex comedies, and I’m sure the studio behind “Sex and the Single Girl” was trying to cash in. But Natalie ain’t no Doris Day.
