Guess Who’s Playing Long John Silver?
I had to blink twice before I realized that this was Eddie Izzard — best known for his hetero cross-dressing comedy — as Long John Silver in this remake of “Treasure Island.” The lavish adaptation, which boasts a starry cast including Donald Sutherland as Captain Flint and Elijah Wood as Ben Gunn, was made as a mini-series for Sky and comes to DVD in all its glory.
