Your Weekend: LemonWade Recommends
Movies: “Rock of Ages” or “That’s My Boy“? I guess “Rock of Ages.” (sigh) Television: The “Girls” finale is this weekend. And there’s a “Breaking Bad” preview on Sunday as well. Music: Carly Rae Jepsen’s “Call Me Maybe” finally reached the top spot on Billboard. I am now officially sick of that song. Just as I am sick of Adele’s “21,” which can’t leave the charts. I’m even willing to listen to Jimmy Fallon’s new CD, just to get Adele and Carly out of my mind. Books: Alan Furst’s Nazi-era “Mission to Paris” is worth a look. Sports: I’m rooting for the Thunder over the Heat. It would be easier to watch the European soccer tournament if there weren’t so much racism and anti-Semitism around the edges. Finally: Father’s Day is one of those commercialized holidays with no meaning for me. But if you celebrate it: enjoy!
