Meryl Slams Hollywood Blockbusters
It’s all very well for Meryl Streep to criticize Hollywood for making expensive movies like “Battleship” and “John Carter.” But as long as there is potential blockbuster status then the studios will keep throwing tons of money away. Streep’s other point in her speech this week was more salient: the ridiculous under-representation of women in the movie business.
