Tarantino Loves Him Some N-Word
Once upon a time, Spike Lee criticized Quentin Tarantino for making a movie with prodigal use of the n-word. Spike’s racist-o-meter is going to spike majorly with Quentin’s new movie, “Django Unchained.” A short preview of it was just shown at Cannes, and the epithet was spread over the proceedings like sauce on barbeque. Some folks who saw the snippet say the movie is going to be a big, politically incorrect crowd-pleaser, just like Tarantino’s last movie, “Inglourious Basterds.” “Django” concerns a black buck/former slave (Jamie Foxx) coming back to the plantation and whoopin’ on the overweight master. Will it be as jaw-droppingly pleasing as “Mandingo“?
