Last week, I told you about a pop musician that a lot of Manhattan’s tastemaking musicians had taken up: Zebra Katz. Those hipsters — Michael Stipe, Jake Shears — are also wild about Perfume Genius (pictured), aka Mike Hadreas, a Seattle-based balladeer whose main appeal may be the touching sadness in his mien and his music, and who has two CDs to his credit.
