Books: I’m loving the new paperback edition of Erik Larson’s early-Hitler-era work, “In The Garden Of Beasts.” Sports: The Rangers keep providing thrills in their NHL playoff against the Capitals; the Knicks are on the brink. Finally: Whenever I see someone smoking a joint, I think: will America ever realize that the war on drugs has failed?
