Your Weekend: LemonWade Recommends
Movies: Neither “Mirror Mirror” nor “Wrath of the Titans” is racking up great reviews. The new movie I’d like to see is “Bully.” Am I old enough? Television: I realize that for some people the return of “The Killing” is the weekend’s main event, but for me this weekend there’s only one Main Event. Music: Lionel Richie had to release a country CD to return to the top of the charts. I keep coming back to Renee Fleming’s French album, “Poemes.” Books: I’m mourning Adrienne Rich’s death by reading “The Dream of a Common Language.” Continuing a Fabulous Lesbian theme, I’m checking out Rachel Maddow’s new “Drift.” Sports: My March Madness bets are shot to shit, so I’ll just close my eyes and wait for the inevitable Kentucky win. Finally: Sometimes when I read my Facebook feed, I think: there really is no sense of shame left in the world.
