Your Weekend: LemonWade Recommends
Movies: “21 Jump Street” is getting good notices. Another big hit for It Boy Channing Tatum? Ignore the naysayers: “John Carter” deserves a viewing, especially in Imax. Television: Sunday’s “The Good Wife” is finding its feet again. I’m having trouble getting into this season of “The Amazing Race.” Music: Springsteen’s “Wrecking Ball” demolished Adele at the top of the charts. Having seen the Boss live last weekend at the Apollo, I’m not surprised he’s zoomed to Number One. Books: Tim Weiner’s book on the CIA is the standard work on the spy agency. His new volume, on the FBI, looks equally chock-a-block. Meanwhile, only a week left to finish reading “The Hunger Games.” Sports: If I win my March Madness pool, I can retire to the tropics. I’m dubious, however: there are hundreds of people competing with me! Finally: I’m not dreading St. Patrick’s Day this year. The enthusiasm of my younger friends has worn down my disaffection for parade drunks.
