Grammys Overshadowed By Whitney
The Oscars are about the awards, but the Grammys are about the entertainment, and by that standard this year’s Grams were pretty good. Highlights: the Beach Boys reunion; Maroon 5; Rihanna and Coldplay. But what does it say that the only artists who got to perform more than once were Paul McCartney, Foo Fighters…and Chris Brown? Yeah, I know. Ridiculous! As for the awards, as I said, they aren’t really important. Adele is a big talent, but I couldn’t care less how many trophies she stuffs in her suitcase. And can’t she get rid of the gum? So tacky! I couldn’t get too exercised about any of the Grammy shenanigans, because for me the evening was completely overshadowed by the death of Whitney Houston. I haven’t posted about it because it’s too upsetting.
