Your Weekend: LW Recommends
Movies: “The Vow,” with Channing Tatum, may be the romantic flick to capitalize on pre-Valentine’s-Day weekend feeling. I’d like to see “Journey 2: Mysterious Island,” but only in 3-D. Television: “Downton Abbey” moves toward its Season 2 closing. (Watch episodes online here.) Music: The Super Bowl gave Madonna a huge bump in sales; will this weekend’s Grammys do the same for its winners? Books: I looking forward to reading President Obama’s recent favorite political tome, “The World America Made,” by Robert Kagan. If you’re in a literary mood, think about pre-ordering Jonathan Galassi’s “Left-Handed: Poems.” Sports: The New York Rangers are so good this season that I’m thinking of buying a Rangers cap. Finally: Start your Valentine’s Day early by showing some love not just to your sweetheart but to the world outside your door.
