VF Cover: What Annoys Me
The usual beef with the cover of Vanity Fair’s Hollywood issue is that there are either no women of color or that they are relegated to the sleeve, which is the case this year. I won’t get involved in that discussion, except to say that the editor of VF is a 62-year-old white man who has 62-year-old-white-man taste. More annoying to me with the new cover: the young women are so glammed out of existence that I defy you to look at the image and tell me the names of more than two of them. Answers here.
