Screaming With Sofia Vergara
I used to be afraid for “Modern Family”‘s Sofia Vergara. She was well on her way to becoming the new Charo, and I’m not sure that’s a great place to be. But Vergara is so aware of the stereotypes and how she subverts them that I stopped worrying. (Also: it’s impossible not be charmed by a woman who, on “Ellen” last week, was asked who has more fun blondes or brunettes and replied, “The girls with the bigger boobs.”) In a new interview, La Sofia says, “Since they discovered that I can scream like a crazy person, they ask me to scream in every episode.”
