Danielle de Niese: Baroque Beauty
Danielle de Niese is currently giving a fiercely affecting performance as Ariel in the Metropolitan Opera’s “The Enchanted Island.” She has a new CD, “The Beauty of the Baroque,” whose tracks are available free for those of you with Spotify. Some of the selections are chestnuts: “Ombra mai fu,” from Handel’s “Serse.” Others are less known. All are worth a listen.
