“Glee” Notices Liz Taylor Auction
Oh, those “Glee” boys! Ever up to the minute, they couldn’t get through their Christmas-special episode last night without referencing the Christie’s auction of Elizabeth Taylor’s jewelry — that was happening at the very time the episode was airing. Kurt (Chris Colfer) and Blaine (Darren Criss) hosted a holiday party at their “bachelor” home, which was photographed in black-and-white to give a retro feel. Kurt had bid on an item in the Taylor auction, but had to content himself with a knock-off facsimile. The Taylor auction, by the way, scared up a record-setting $115 million, including $11.8 million for a pearl necklace and $8.8 million for a diamond ring.
