NPR Jazz Show To Get New Host
The longest-running jazz show on National Public Radio is “Marian McPartland’s Piano Jazz.” But in January listeners will hear Jon Weber as host of a retooled version of the show, to be retitled “Piano Jazz Rising Stars.” McPartland, 93, will step away from the microphone to serve as the program’s artistic director. She began hosting the show in 1979. In the above video, McPartland plays “In A Mist.”
