What’s Up With “The Iron Lady”?
People who think that “The Iron Lady,” the movie about Margaret Thatcher (Meryl Streep) and her husband, Denis (Jim Broadbent), has been kept out of sight for months because it sucks, here’s further evidence: The movie’s release date, originally December 16, has been moved to December 30, barely in time to qualify for Oscar consideration. Will The Weinstein Company, which is releasing it, even bother to show it to critics later this month to qualify for New York Film Critics voting on November 28?
