Taylor Lautner is set to star in a Gus Van Sant movie. That’s all well and good. What amuses me is that the project is based on an article published in The New Yorker. Do we really think that Taylor reads The New Yorker? ‘Course not. But I suspect that Gus likes the mag; back in the day, its movie critic, Pauline Kael, gave his career a big boost.
