“Ain’t Misbehavin’ Jumping To B’way?
Is it time for the music of Fats Waller to bounce back to Broadway? Some folks think so. I’m talking, of course, about “Ain’t Misbehavin’.” I’ve never seen a production of this show, no matter how wan, that failed to light up an audience? I can’t say the same about “Sweeney Todd” or “Evita” or even “The Sound of Music.” Waller’s music is infectious. Like Mozart — typical Mozart.
