“War Horse” Releases Movie Poster
There’s a new poster for “War Horse,” the hit play that has been turned into a movie directed by Steven Spielberg. The poster (left) for the film, which will be released December 28, echoes the cover of the novel, by Michael Morpugo, on which the play and movie are based. Just as the stage play broadened the first-person (or first-horse) perspective of the book to include Albert, the British farmboy who sees his steed sold for the war effort, so does the poster put Albert into the frame.
