Your Weekend: LW Recommends
Movies: Doesn’t it feel as if you’ve seen Brad Pitt in “Moneyball” already? Doesn’t matter: I’m still interested, although I’m suspicious of the bloggers touting it as this year’s “Social Network.” If you need a movie for the kids, “Dolphin Tale” looks inviting. Television: Don’t know about you, but I’m exhausted from checking out all the season premieres this week. I’m going to relax in the comfort of Merrie Olde England: a new (bootlegged) episode of “Downton Abbey” and “Masterpiece Mystery“‘s final Inspector Lewis installment. And if I’m up for Julianna Margulies’s oh-so-serious face, I’ll watch snob hit “The Good Wife,” too. Music: I’m revving up for the new Wilco release while doing my abs work to the cheesy “Moves Like Jagger.” Books: David Lodge’s “A Man of Parts” is my sophisticated read right now. Shel Silverstein’s “Every Thing On It” is on the top of my loo-lit stack. Sports: Now that the Yankees have clinched, I can start worrying about the Jets. They are 2-0, but the Ravens and Patriots loom. Finally: Tired of Republican debates where American soldiers get booed? Then take a look at U.S. Senate candidate Elizabeth Warren. She’s a star.
