Hollywood Cools Toward Obama
Should it be any surprise that Hollywood’s elite are showing less enthusiasm these days toward Barack? As the Hollywood Reporter says, “Even devoted Democrats are approaching his re-election campaign with all the enthusiasm of a studio contractually obligated to finance a dubious sequel.” The disenchantment is no surprise. Show biz likes what’s young and hot, and Obama’s no longer young and hot. What’s more, many in La-La Land are invested in environmental issues and, let’s face it, Obama has been especially abysmal on that front. On the other hand, most of the high rollers are going to cough up to his re-election, if they haven’t already. The prospect of a President Perry is simply too sobering to sit on one’s hands.
