“Sex & The City” Prequel Happens
The CW Network, which gave us “Gossip Girl,” is going forward with a new series: a prequel to “Sex and the City” based on “The Carrie Diaries.” It will be overseen by Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage (pictured), of the same network’s “Gossip Girl.” I’m trying to see why the world needs another sexy show based on an over-priveleged senior in high school who is trying to conquer the world, but when I think about the first part of this sentence I realize that half of network television is about striving 17-year-olds in mini skirts.
