Music Prize: Adele NOT The Favorite
The favorite for tonight’s major-music award, the Mercury prize, among bookmakers remains PJ Harvey (pictured), with Ladbrokes and Paddy Power offering odds of 5/4 that the Dorset-born singer will take home the award for her album “Let England Shake.” According to the bookies, Harvey’s main competition comes from self-titled albums by Anna Calvi and James Blake, with some shops also backing Adele’s “21.”
