“Normal Heart”: Brad Pitt & Others
Brad Pitt’s company, Plan B, has come on board to produce the movie version of Larry Kramer‘s AIDS drama, “The Normal Heart,” directed by Ryan “Glee” Murphy and starring Mark Ruffalo. Don’t look for any cast members of the recent Tony-award-winning production of “The Normal Heart” on Broadway to be joining the movie project. For that, Murphy is still trying to woo Julia Roberts, in the part of the wheelchair-bound physician, a role that won Ellen Barkin an Emmy in June. But Miss Julia is filming a “Snow White” movie. After that, she’s supposed to do the movie version of “August: Osage County” with Meryl Streep, though that project keeps getting pushed back. Right now, it won’t be released until 2013, and I have my doubts about that.
