Inevitable: A Gaga Clothing Line
Could it be — a Lady Gaga clothing line?
Grazia says that yes, a clothing range by the pop singer is on the way. Lady Gaga will likely co-launch the line with her younger sister, Natali Germanotta, who, as we learned last week, is a fashion designer on the rise (she’s got a gig creating costumes for a new off-Broadway show).
The notion, of course, of fashions made by Gaga conjures up images of the star’s craziest gear: the Kermit the Frog outfit, the Bubble Dress, the raw meat ensemble, the “space orbit” Grammy get-up, her many VMA creations… the list goes on and on.
But the Gaga-Germanotta collection, writes Grazia, would actually be much tamer than any Gaga originals. The idea is to “remodel the styles of classic icons from the past, for example, Marilyn Monroe, Grace Kelly, and Katherine Hepburn” but with a modern touch…
… which we can’t exactly picture, to be fair. Unless Grace Kelly wore penis shoes and Katherine Hepburn was into leather.
