My Fear About Gaddafi’s Takedown
I’m not talking about the suffering of the Libyan people for all these years, or the chaos and violence that are still to come. I’m talking about the inevitable movie that will be made of this year’s events: “Gaddafi,” directed by Oliver Stone. Who should play the dictator? In an ideal world, it would be a north African actor. But since the heyday of Omar Sharif, none of them spells box office to Hollywood. In which case, my choice is Benicio del Toro. Or Johnny Depp. Think about it.
