Movies: “One Day” looks like a must-miss: I’d rather watch Anne Hathaway channel Lil Wayne than be trapped in romantic mush. I confess I’m curious about the gore-filled new “Conan the Barbarian“(right). Morgan Freeman did the voiceover! Television: It’s definitely the dregs of summer when I find myself eager to see “Shark Tank.” On Sunday night, catch the classic flick “Gunga Din” on TCM. Books: I got so caught up in the paperback edition of Colm Toibin’s novel “Brooklyn,” I read it in one sitting. Rafael Nadal’s new autobiography, “Rafa,” is not for one gulp but for several tastings. He didn’t write it himself, of course. Music: Much as I like him, I can’t bring myself to purchase Jeff Bridges’ new CD. I’d rather shell out for Josh Groban’s disco album. Sports: I’ve been steadfastly resisting football, but I don’t think I’ll be able to resist this game. Finally: I didn’t watch the Royal Wedding in April, so I’m certainly going to avoid the super-hyped Kardashian nuptials (left). And didn’t Kim hear? When it’s not your first marriage and you’ve already made a sex tape, it’s tacky to wear pure white.
