Problem With “Blade Runner” Sequel
Looks likely that there will be a sequel to the sci-fi classic “Blade Runner” called “Son of Blade Runner.” Director Ridley Scott is up for the idea. My problem: the new movie will benefit from advanced technology and make those futuristic apocalypse shots of L.A. look amazing, but part of the fun of the original is how craftsmanlike the dreamscapes were. That’s why they were beautiful and artistic, rather than soulless and computerish.
