Just Who Should Play Patti Smith?
Patti Smith and screenwriter John Logan (“Gladiator,” “The Aviator”) are collaborating on a screenplay version of Smith’s memoir “Just Kids,” about her youthful life with photographer Robert Mapplethorpe. The obvious choice to portray Patti is Kristen Stewart. And Robert? My friend Ethan Silverman suggests Emile Hirsch, who did “Into the Wild” with Kristen.
