Deborah Voigt: A Fringe Production
If I didn’t know better, I’d look at this picture of opera star Deborah Voigt and think she was either starring in Puccini’s “Girl of the Golden West” or had moseyed into a production of the “Ring” at the opera house in Laramie or Cheyenne. But no: it’s Miss Voigt as Annie Oakley in “Annie Get Your Gun” at Glimmerglass Opera. Wish I could saddle up and gallop there before the run ends on August 21. Reviews have been kind and not so kind. I’m sure Miss Annie would give the naysayer a butt full of buckshot.
