“Shore”: Me And Michelangelo
When Spielberg’s “E.T.” appropriated the Sistine Chapel for an advertisement it was beautiful. When “Jersey Shore” does it, the reference is vulgar. But I guess that’s a success: the whole point of the show is vulgarity. It returns, with episodes shot in Italy, on August 4.) The biggest shock of these Italian-art shots is that there’s not one of The Situation as Michelangelo’s David. But I guess if they cover up the penis in the Sistine Chapel shot then there’s no way they would use a statue where the penis is kinda the point.
