Gay Brother Defends Mel Gibson

A Tasmanian paper reports: ‘The adopted brother of Mel Gibson has ended years of self-imposed anonymity to defend the reputation of his movie-star brother. Andrew Gibson (pictured), 43, of Redfern in Sydney, said he could no longer be silent after damning allegations by the Mad Max star’s former partner Oksana Grigorieva and his impending divorce from Robyn Moore, his wife of 28 years. Mr Gibson said the entire Gibson clan did not believe alleged taped conversations of Mel, 55, using abusive, homophobic and racist language were really him. “When I heard them I just thought, ‘That isn’t Mel.’ He has never said anything abusive, aggressive or racist in his life,” Mr Gibson said.’ Oh, so the tapes were fabricated? Don’t you love it when someone who hasn’t lived anywhere near his celeb brother for most of his adult life steps forward to say the rant can’t be true? On the other hand, Andrew Gibson isn’t the only gayishe person to defend Mad Max: Jodie Foster, who recently directed Mel in “The Beaver,” has been defending Mel for years.
