You used to be able to go to a play or a classical concert, sit back, even close your eyes, and have the language or the music wash over you. Not any more! Immersive theatre is everywhere right now. (New York has just had a big dose of it with Punchdrunk’s “Sleep No More.”) Musicians are, increasingly, forcing audiences to get jerked around on their feet. Wear comfy shoes.
