Clooney Film To Open Venice
Sounds like an Oscar contender to me: “The Ides of March,” George Clooney’s new film about life on the Presidential campaign trail, will open the Venice Film Festival at the end of August. The flick, which stars Clooney, Paul Giamatti, and Ryan Gosling (!), is based a middling play, “Farragut North,” by Beau Willimon, that Clooney has probably made more engaging.
