“Carrie” Coming Back From Dead
A revamped version of the “Carrie” musical — based on the beloved flop show of 1988, which was based in turn on the Stephen King novel turned into a Brian De Palma movie — will come to off-Broadway in early 2012. I was among the lucky few who saw it on Broadway. I fear that my favorite numbers — one involving pig blood, another involving menstrual blood — will not make the cut. So I won’t be able to use the phrase “bloody brilliant” in my review.
