Another Comic Triumph In London
Goldoni’s 1746 comedy “The Servant of Two Masters” has been transformed at London’s National Theatre into a modern farce called “One Man, Two Guvnors.” The Guardian calls it “one of the funniest productions in the National’s history.” With its rave reviews, the show might be thought likely to move to Broadway. But American audiences would be confused by the title (“Honey, is this the one about Palin and Schwarzenegger?”), let alone I reckon by much of the humour.
