American “Prime Suspect” To Air
NBC just announced that it is picking up — i.e. probably adding to its schedule — the American adaptation of “Prime Suspect.” Maria Bello (pictured) stars. I was about to snark that, in typical Hollywood fashion, the character’s age had been severely reduced, but Bello is 43 and Helen Mirren, who unforgettably starred in the original version, was 47 when “PS” began in England.
