Terry Gilliam: Berlioz Was “A Wacko”
As if making his kind of films wasn’t difficult enough, Terry Gilliam (pictured) is now staging an oratorio that was never meant to be staged. It’s by Berlioz, who Gilliam says “was crackers.” As if most great composers weren’t? Tschaikovsky, Beethoven, Brahms, Schumann: all of them were delightfully normal, weren’t they?
