The only Hollywood movie I’ve ever seen with Tripoli in the title was “To the Shores of Tripoli,” a completely forgettable 1942 product starring John Payne and Maureen O’Hara. It’s standard-issue made-during-World-War-II Hollywood fantasy, with Sergeant Dixie Smith tasked with turning raw recruits into Marines.
