Joyce DiDonato is the new Renee Fleming: the attractive, American diva at the peak of her powers. I wish I’d been at her Carnegie Hall concert earlier in the week; I’ll definitely go see her in the Met’s new production later in the month of “Le Comte Ory.” Video of Joyce doing Handel here.
