Egyptian Protesters Defy Crackdown
I wonder how many of those policemen wish they were on the other side. I’ve been scouring the Internet, trying to find out if Egypt’s leading artists and entertainers are part of the uprising. So far, no luck. That may a function of how few of the country’s pop stars are known and covered in the West, rather than their non-participation in the events. I mean, ask yourself: how many Egyptian actors can you name other than Omar Sharif?
