Now A Movie About This Crap?
Has there been any more stuck-in-the-bubble, mainstream-media story this month than the nitpicking over Amy Chua’s book (author pictured) about the Chinese and Chinese-American supermoms? All this obsessing that essentially boils down to: how do I, as a member of a privileged magazine/newspaper/broadcast company, make sure from the moment of conception that my kid gets into Harvard? Bo-ring! And the movie of “Battle Hymn of the Tiger Mother” sounds even more bo-ring!
