Golden Globes: My Highlights
Bullock had bangs, Bonham Carter (pictured) looked like the Bride of Frankenstein, and Jane Fonda’s latest face-lift made her almost unrecognizable (and distracted from the fact that, at 73, she still has a terrific body). And the awards? The movie selections were completely predictable: Bale, Leo, Firth, Portman. Yeah, Bening also won an award, but I don’t think the horse race between Natalie and Annette is happening; Natalie’s baby bump makes her just too unbeatable. As for the other winners (complete list here), the best speeches were given by Clare Danes and Jane Lynch. Most moving appearance? Michael Douglas.
