Tony Soprano Avoids “Jersey Shore”
“Sopranos” star James Gandolfini next stars in the HBO film “Cinema Verite,” about the 1973 PBS series “An American Family,” the program largely considered the first reality show. So does he watch a lot of MTV? “Jersey Shore? No, no,” he said. (I don’t think he’s the intended demographic.) “Reality TV was such an intellectual exercise in the beginning, and it’s turned to such shit. [But] Real Housewives of Atlanta — that was extraordinary.”
