I was lucky enough to accompany New York Times critic Alastair Macaulay to the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater’s tribute to outgoing artistic director, Judith Jamison. I can add nothing to his report of the gala, except that to his roster of the memorable dancers I would include Jamar Roberts.
