NASA reports that tonight’s lunar eclipse is the first time an eclipse has coincided with a solstice since December 21, 1638, and the next such occurrence won’t take place until 2094. Unless you’re planning to have yourself a merry little Christmas and be cryogenically frozen, I suggest you take advantage of tonight’s sky.
