Tchaikovsky Without “Nutcracker”
Ken Russell‘s movies haven’t aged very well, yet I have an abiding affection for some of them, especially for “The Music Lovers.” Talk about overcooked! Richard Chamberlain plays Tchaikovsky, and his performance of the first piano concerto is a hoot. Talk about laying groundwork for Rachmaninoff!
