Jackman Injured On Oprah’s Set
Oprah is bringing her brand of materialistic, messianic uplift to Australia at the moment, but all her good vibrations weren’t enough to protect Aussie hunk Hugh Jackman. Hugh was injured during the filming of a segment for Okra’s “Ultimate Australian Adventure.” He was making a dramatic entrance on a flying fox — a heavy-duty wire set with a harness and handle assembly that slides on wheels — when he hit the brakes too late and hit some light rigging. Let’s hope Hugh becomes more masterful at such stunts in the future: he’ll need the acumen if he’s ever going to do that “Houdini” musical on Broadway he’s been talking about. We don’t want him to end up in the “Spider-Man” ward of a Broadway-area hospital.
